Carmen always had a wild streak about her while growing up in this small town. Anything was better than being stuck in the perpetuating cycle of being born and dying in this hell hole she called the reality of a small town girl.

Walker was the only anchor that could hold her home, she lived for that boy. So how do you explain to someone that staying there would only suffocate the possibilities of making a better life for oneself? Running away was the only option, and leaving a piece of her heart with him would keep her strong out in the real world, at least she hoped it would.

After years of trying to make it on her own, struggling through life and trying to stay clean, the only reality she sees at surviving now is going back to the place she tried so hard to break free from. Unsure if her old life is willing to accept the choices she has made, the lone thought that matters to her is hoping she still has the only man she has counted on her entire life in her corner. You can always go home, but will they be willing take you back?

ABOUT T.A. HARDENBROOK

T.A. Hardenbrook currently resides in Spokane Washington with her husband and two young boys. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education as well as her license in Cosmetology in which she still does part time.

Her days include being the family chauffer and referee, all while trying to become the perfect domestic goddess one strives for. Her family of four also includes a very loving American pit bull terrier, a wirehaired dachshund, a corn snake, and an American cavy (Which her oldest son shows at ARBA/ACBA events).

Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013, life became a struggle and she found learning to adapt was not an easy task. Luckily with the help of daily medication, life is slowly returning back to normal. Having the opportunity to write a novel at this time was a huge boost of confidence in dealing with the disorder, being able to use her hands and type, was therapy for the soul.

Zac jumped up from the couch and grabbed her by the arm. She’s fucking that asshole? I thought to myself briefly before my question was answered.“Come on, sis. This is a night to celebrate! Brody just offered our band to play here exclusively for the next year. Fucking awesome, right?” Zac said.

Did I hear that right? Fuck me! She was his sister, hell yeah! She was his sister…oh shit! That would also pose a small problem. One I’m sure I can work through.

“Yeah…great. That’s awesome,” she said with a plastic smile.

Bit by bit, I could see my little project turning into an even larger one every time she spoke or glanced at me. I couldn’t quite put a finger on it last night, but something about her was all too familiar. My wheels turned as I tried to remember where I’d seen her or met her before and I kept coming up empty. It was going to drive me insane.

She leaned into her brother’s hug and I saw Zac whisper something to her. For a moment, I imagined her gripping me tight while I buried my cock in her. I smiled.

She cleared her throat and spoke loudly, “Alright, I’ll come. But can you put the dog out next time? I wouldn’t want to be exposed to any fleas…or STD’s, for that matter.”

What. The. Fuck? Did she really just direct that at me? Alright, Sweetheart. You wanna play that game? I’m all in.

I felt my heart race and let out an unnecessary growl before responding. “Well, excuse the fuck out of me. I don’t believe I’ve had the honor of making your acquaintance, Sweetheart,” I scoffed. “My name is Brody and I am the owner of this fine establishment.” I opened my arms wide to show her what exactly belonged to me.

Every-fucking-thing, Sweetheart.

MY REVIEW

When I first came across this book, it certainly got me interested. For a Debut novel, A.E Neal did a fantastic job for the first book of the series.

A story about Ally, a Sassy Mouth journalist who is still grieving from the loss in her life however she comes across a Handsome Chap, Enters Brody. A Backass Hockey player from Phoenix. With each a dark past, these two are brought together that cannot be dismissed. This guy certainly made you feel bits you cannot lie. lol

The chemistry between these two was felt throughout the book. From Brody with his Bad Boy Ways and to Ally unsure of taking the chance to be with him? Can they fight through it all to be together?

Ally's best friend, Kennedy, She was a trooper through it all to be Ally's Sidekick. She helps Ally through the hard times but also helps her to Move on and Take a Chance.

As always, the additional characters especially Kennedy were fantastic. As the best Friend you always wanted, I certainly felt she was one of my closest friends also. I believe they are sometimes the ones that also make a book amazing too.

Love the build up to the end of this book to the point of when they finally to a moment, I screamed Thank you, FINALLY. lol

We are left with wanting more at the end which the Sequal that will bring us hopefully more of Ally & Brody's untold story. I look forward to reading the next installment.

A beautiful debut novel about a love story between two people that brought each other back together after so long.
From the Widow Alexia who is suddenly left to solely look after her Daughter. Fate brought a blast from the past back into her life after a Girly weekend away.

When unimaginable feelings rise that leaves her to believe they are totally wrong to feel, she fights tooth and nail to deny that she can fall in love again. Can she move on after losing her Husband that brought her a comfortable life and Sierra?

A beautiful romance between long lost friends, triggers a new friendship that quickly develops into such a high and low of emotions relationship.
From the lows of Self Doubt to the Highs of "Reach for the Sky" New Love.
This book left me feeling all wrapped up with a whole lot of love. Its a book that shows that after such a tragic accident of a loved one, fate can bring 2 people together after all.

The characters throughout were great. Though the novel it brought them all together to support Alexis through her tough battle. From the Brother and Sister in Law to the Best Friend that would help at the drop of a hat.

The Sweet little missy Sierra. She honestly broke my heart through parts of the story due to the incident that took place. Especially with Garrett now on the scene, the relationship that these two develop is speechless.

The Ever-So-Romantic Garrett is so dreamy. You could maybe think others believe he is over the top, but hey, his feelings throughout the whole book did it for me. After 10 years of missing out on the love of your life, why not go in guns blazing to win her over.

Fuck, she wasn’t going to make this easy for either of us. I was convinced that Scott was handing me my balls on a plate by sending me here. One look at Madison and I wanted to shove them at her and get the fuck out of here. Christ, she was still as goddamn sexy as the last time I laid eyes on her. I ran my eyes down her body and took in the low-cut, short dress and fuck me heels; god I loved those shoes and my dick twitched just thinking about wrapping those legs around me.

“Can we talk outside for a minute?” I asked.

She pursed her lips and appeared to be assessing the situation before she gave me a curt nod and said, “Fine.” And with that she grabbed her purse, brushed past me and stalked towards the front door. I watched her ass sway as I followed her out and told my dick to settle the fuck down. No way were we going there again; I was here for one reason and one reason only.

Once we were outside she reached into her purse and pulled out a cigarette. She quickly lit it and took a long drag. God, I hoped she was still sober; last I had heard she was and she looked pretty healthy but the way she sucked on that cigarette looked like a junkie fixing for their next hit.

“Scott told you I was coming, yeah?” I asked, taking in the glare she had levelled on me. Yep, balls on a plate.

“No,” she snapped, “He said someone was coming but he failed to mention it was you.” She looked like she was going to say something else but took another long drag on her cigarette instead.

“Well, you’ve got me until he pulls me back home so I say we make the best of a shitty situation and put our crap aside.”

She took another long drag on her cigarette, threw it down and ground it out before scowling at me, “You’re a fucking asshole, J and for all I care you can go to hell.”

I only had a moment to observe how very clean it was before he had me against the wall, pinned by his huge physique.

“You never came.” His voice was a low, husky whisper. “I waited all night.”

“No,” I managed to say despite the heat surging through me as his lips moved to my temple. “I… didn’t think I could eat.”

“Good,” he said in a thick voice before covering my mouth with his. Mine opened quickly, drawing him in. Our tongues entwined before his lips moved to my jaw then down my neck.

“I thought about you all day.” His breath whispered across my skin, and I couldn’t stop a surge of desire low in my stomach. “Will you let me have you here?”

“Yes,” I barely spoke, and he dropped to his knees.
