~ SYNOPSIS ~
Twenty-one-year-old Sophia Ross has lived under the pressure of her parents expectations since the tragic accident that shattered their once perfect family. Determined to start over where no one knows her, she answers a housing ad on Craigslist and takes a job at a little bar in a town she has never heard of. All Sophia's looking for is a place to escape, somewhere she can hide behind her lies and keep herself distracted.

~ SASSY MUM REVIEW ~
A beautiful Debut Novel by TJ Hannah, looking into the history behind two people with troubled past that only know how to run or either protect those close to them from harm with secrets. This love story brings us a journey through an emotional rollercoaster of guilt, trauma, doubt and love.
What I loved about the story was it grabbed and captured me from chapter to chapter. After each chapter it always left me asking questions and wanting more to find out what the secrets that are being kept from one another.

With Sophia heartbreaking past, she believes she was always at fault. She runs away to find a new "me. Starting a job at Corbin's Dad Bar, they both met. This is when Corbin starts to feel a strong connection with Sophia which builds from her.
With Corbin's trouble past with his family, we meet a man that cares for those dearest to him and he protects them from harm. Until he meets Sophia. The strong feelings that he felt from the first moment he met her was believable. Throughout the story my heart ached at the belief that he didn't think that he was good enough for Sophia. Soon enough, he believes that his strong feelings in true love that completes him.
The additional characters throughout this story was fitting for the book perfectly. If doesn't matter who you are, or what you do, your best friends are the ones that stick by you through everything and also have your back. Sometimes they are the ones that are like family you never had.

Overall an emotional, romantic love story between 2 people with fractured past, now put together by a connection they both understand for one another.
We can't both be broken and maybe that's why we work. We are each other's distraction, going back and forth until we can breath again. ~ Sophia
