Though Alani knows that Ryan lives in Grand Forks, North Dakota, she never thought their paths would cross again while she is there. Their friendship changes to something more with a good night kiss. Needing to be with Ryan, she leaves her old life in New Jersey behind and moves halfway across the country. As they journey together in a new relationship Alani has to adapt to life in a new city, new job, as well as dealing with Ryan's ex-girlfriend Stephanie, who is waiting for the perfect moment to get Ryan back. SASSY MUM REVIEW

Where do I begin.......Divided was so on the edge of your seat, captivating, got-me-hooked, sexy as hell romantic love story between two people that felt a connection when they first met.

So from the beginning, we head to Las Vegas with Alani and her girls for her hen's night. During the weekend away, she meets Ryan at one of the club in which you feel that explosive connection. Throughout the night they play friendly as that it was all it could be considering Alani was getting married. However, how can you forget someone that made you feel something you have never had before?

"It was my absolute pleasure to meet you Alani LaBelle. I'll always remember you and I wish you nothing but happiness. I do hope your future husband makes you happy and give you the world. It's what you deserve." ~Ryan

Once back home, Alani comes across one life altering moment which changes everything. As things don't go to plan, she decides to take time out from her life, to the only place she wants to escape to, that is Ryan's hometown Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Once she arrives in town, she takes some "me" time but also wonders if she will bump into Ryan.
With being such a small town, word gets around that a New Yorker good looking girl is in town, Ryan is out to find her to confirm if it could be Alani.
When they reunite, the reunion is beautiful. This scene I loved as it was the time that Ryan finds out that he may have a second chance with Alani after all.
Throughout this part of the story you feel there connection grow into strong feelings for one another. As decisions are to be made, they both need to decide on what is going to happen now when Alani returns home.

"I let you walk out of my life before. I won't let you walk away from me again." ~Ryan

Throughout the story, decisions are made with one another however they don't go to planned as both thought. Throw in the mix of Ryan's ex and Alani's ex-fiance, you have one hell of a shake up and emotional rollercoaster ride. There was certainly moments throughout were I felt screaming "That just did not happen"!!
With twists and turns they receive, it certainly shakes up this reunion and test their relationship. The ending, without going into any further details, is certainly emotional and heartwarming.

With that all being said, such a beautiful romantic debut novel from Livia and I'm certainly looking forward to see what is to come.

AUTHOR Q&A

Congratulations Livia on your debut novel, with Divided, when did you first come up with the story and how long did it take to write?
Thank you Melanie, Divided came to me when I sat in traffic on my way to pick up my wedding shoes back in April of this year. Like Alani, I met a ‘Ryan’ in Las Vegas and the ideas just started flowing. Once I came home from my honeymoon in May, I got right to work writing this story.

Who is your muses that inspires you to write about your characters?
I have many muses, Ryan’s personality is my husband’s. I have also been very blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing group of friends that inspired all of the other characters in the book Alani included.

Is your book based on true events or fiction?
Both… chapter one is about 70% true. I did go to Las Vegas with my three best friends and met a guy named Ryan from the mid west. But, there was no sexual chemistry between us. Also my characters descriptions are based on real people in my life. But the rest of the story is fiction.

Where is your favourite place to write?
I know it’s not the most conventional place, but I do a lot of my writing on my cell phone. I pace back and forth typing away on my small screen.

What is your preference, Paperback or ebook?
Both again… I love paperbacks the smell of a book or holding the page in between my finger.  But e-books are so convenient and if I had every e-book on my TBR list as paper back I wouldn't have any space to walk around.

As a fangirl, Who are your favourite authors?
I have so many favorites its hard to pick so here is a list, Faith Andrews, B.A. Wolfe, Gail Mchugh, E.L. Montes. Catherine Eyre, K.A. Linde, Jasinda Wilder, and R.K. Lilley this can go on for a while. :)

Whats next we have to look forward to from Livia Jamerlan?
My next book is a three book series, it’s a little darker compared to Divided, but I’m in love with where the story is going. Also Katie and Michael started festering in my mind wanting their own story so we will see.

ABOUT LIVIA JAMERLAN

Livia
Livia Jamerlan is a hopeless romantic she is always looking for her next love story to pop in her head. Though Livia kept a journal throughout her early life, she never thought about pursuing a career in writing, she always used it as form of therapy, pouring her heart out into words. It wasn’t until a story developed in her head that she decided that maybe she could write a book. At first it was just an escape from reality but now she use it as a power to put all her feelings, hopes, and fears on paper. Deciding it was time to tell her story she began to write, with each passing day the story grew, characters we formed, and what seemed like a hobby at first has now become a passion for Livia. When Livia is not writing she is spending time with her husband and their two dogs, she might also be curled up with a new book, or she is out traveling the country to support indie authors at their book signings.
