BLOG TOUR + REVIEW + EXCERPT + GIVEAWAY: Falling by E.K. Blair

We Welcome E.K. Blair to the blog with her 3rd book of her Fading series.

~SYNOPSIS~

Sometimes it takes someone else to show us what we are truly capable of becoming.

Suffering from years of violent abuse, Ryan Campbell has learned how to keep people from getting too close. But when you shut yourself off, people get hurt along the way. Never caring much about others, Ryan creates a world in which he doesn’t have to feel.

When Ryan meets Candace Parker, all of his walls slowly begin to crumble. Not sure of the truth of who she is, he feels his mind is playing tricks on him. Unable to force out the thoughts that consume him, Ryan is haunted by visions that torment him every time he looks at her. He finds himself swallowed by guilt and blame, but he’s unwilling to turn his back on the one person that could possibly save him.

You’ve heard Candace’s story in Fading, now hear Ryan’s.

~SASSY MUM REVIEW~

If you have read the first book of the series Fading, we all meet Ryan and Candance, this was Candance's story, however, now we are provided with Falling through the mind of Ryan's. I love male points of view more so over the females. With this said, I loved this book.

Even though the storyline is similar to Fading through Ryan's mind, we are given more insight behind how Ryan has become who he is today. From struggles from when he was a child to untold secrets. However with Candance, we see that he certainly puts her before him even though he has inner struggles himself.  This was beautifully captured.

This sets a better understanding on some of his decision throughout the book. How he comes to wanting and caring for Candance in his special way after such a tragic incident that brought them together. The additional scenes that weren't featured in Candance's story were unexpected which brought more to their story.
The brilliant writing that captured such an emotional story between these 2 main characters was astounding. It still brings back the tingling feels like I was reading the whole series all over again. Its definitely one of the top series that I have fell in love with..

The heartfelt love and emotion through the story was experienced to the extreme. With the unexpected Epilogue brought an added dimension to close it all off til the end.

An amazing finish to the Fading Series.

Favourite Moment
“I’ll never be able to tell her how sorry I am. There aren’t enough words. There isn’t enough in this world that I could give her to show her how truly f*#$in’ sorry I am. so I sit here and cry for her because I don’t know what else to do. I love this girl beyond anything. Love her from a place in my heart that I never knew I had.”

~EXCERPT~

“You okay?” I ask.
She doesn’t answer, she just shakes her head and after a second begins crying again, wetting my shirt as she nuzzles into my chest. I strengthen my arms around her and let her cry without saying anything.
The hurt coming out of her is hard to listen to, but I do, and it breaks me. Breaks me in a way that even though I hate it, I find myself savoring it. The connection. Her need for me right now and the contentment I find in being the one to give it to her.
